The OneDrive icon in Teams gives you access to all of your work files stored in M365.
This includes both your personal files (OneDrive) and shared files (Teams & Channels).
OneDrive vs. Teams & Channels
OneDrive: Storage for your personal work files. Choose My Files to view your OneDrive contents.
Teams & Channels: Shared storage for team-based files. Your Teams appear in the Quick Access section.
File Storage Basics: How to
Access File Storage: Click the OneDrive icon in the left-hand column.
Find Team-Based Files: Select OneDrive, then choose your Team from the Quick Access area.
Open or Edit a File: Click the file to open it in Teams, or select Open in Desktop App.
Share a File: Select Share, choose who can view or edit it, and send the link.
Search for Files: Use the search bar to quickly locate documents.
