What are Teams Meetings?

Meetings let you connect through video, audio, and screen sharing. They’re ideal for collaborative discussions, presentations, or project updates.

  • Work Together in Real-Time: Share screens, collaborate on files, and take notes during the meeting.
  • Recording & Transcripts: Record meetings and generate transcripts for later reference.
  • Integrated Tools: Add chat, polls, and apps to enhance engagement.
  • Flexible Participation: Join from desktop, mobile, or web — no matter where you are.
Meeting Basics: How to
  • Schedule a Meeting: Click Calendar → New Meeting, add participants, set date/time, and send invites.
  • Join a Meeting: Click Join from the Teams calendar, chat, or meeting link.
  • Share Your Screen: Click "Share" (while in a meeting) to show your screen or a specific window.
  • Mute & Video Controls: Use the toolbar to mute/unmute, turn video on/off, or raise your hand.
  • Chat During Meetings: Open the meeting chat to send messages, links, or files while others speak.
